Let me start by saying...."we're working on it". The process of designing and producing custom made jewelry is an extensive and complex process that our local jewelers do not undertake. We are in negotiations with a company to outsource that process, however it will only be for custom pieces the staff at TJS&M have designed. However, we DO offer an extensive line of unique and one-of-a-kind pieces that include necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets. AND...our staff's custom designed pieces will be available on our website! Watch for them to be added soon...
It's important to get the right fit.

A necklace is a piece of jewelry that goes around your neck, but a pendant is a small piece of jewelry (such as a heart shaped diamond in a white gold setting) that can be attached to an anklet, necklace chain, or bracelet. You can wear a pendant on any part of your body by hanging it on a chain, while a necklace is only worn on your neck.
Necklaces are offered in a variety of lengths, ranging from 14" to 36". Shorter lengths can be worn to accentuate the collarbone and neck, while the longer lengths can help elongate the torso or attain the popular layered necklace look.
As necklaces have evolved over the years in styles, materials, and silhouettes, the pendant necklace has remained a staple in jewelry fashion.
The average neck circumference for a woman is approximately 13". Any necklace smaller than 16" is considered a "choker". The most common necklace lengths are: 16" - 18" - 20" - 24" - 30" - 36". Longer lengths included 60" and 80". A 60" is perfect for achieving the long look. Just slip it on for a unique look. Slip it around your neck again and get that double necklace look! Just adjust the lengths to get the look you want. The 80" necklace is one of the longest lengths you can buy and is the most versatile. The "look" possibilities are endless!!
However, not everyone has the same neck circumference so it is important to create your own unique neck sizing chart by using this simple drop length formula...
The 4Cs of Diamonds
Searching for a sparkling diamond? Selecting a diamond starts by understanding the unique characteristics of each stone. Diamonds are graded off the 4Cs, Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat weight. The 4Cs of diamonds impact the stone's beauty and value. Learn more about each of the diamond 4Cs below.
There are multiple "cuts" (40+) for all gemstones, not just diamonds.
We'll list the most popular 15 Cuts, and the most expensive Cut.
Diamond Color Actually Means Lack Of Color
Understanding what diamond color means will help in choosing the right diamond. Interestingly the diamond color evaluation of most gem-quality diamonds is based on the absence of color.
A chemically pure and structurally perfect diamond has no hue, like a drop of pure water, and consequently, a higher value.
The well known, and widely used, D-to-Z diamond color-grading system measures the degree of colorlessness by comparing a stone under controlled lighting and precise viewing conditions to masterstones of established color value.
Many of these diamond color distinctions are so subtle that they are invisible to the untrained eye; however, these distinctions make a very big difference in quality and price.
Hence it is important to get a trusted and respected jeweler's opinion when evaluating the true color of your diamond.
The Diamond Clarity Scale has 6 categories, some of which are divided, for a total of 11 specific grades.
Many inclusions and blemishes are too tiny to be seen by anyone other than a trained diamond grader. To the naked eye a VS1 and S12 diamond may look exactly the same, but these diamonds are quite different in terms of overall quality. This is why expert and accurate assessment of diamond clarity is extremely important. Knowing what diamond clarity truly means helps you understand the factors that contribute to diamond quality and price.
The Diamond Carat Weight measures a diamond's apparent size.
To put it simply, diamond carat weight measures how much a diamond weighs.
A metric "carat" is defined as 200 milligrams. Each carat is subdivided into 100 'points'. This allows very precise measurements to the 100th decimal place.
A jeweler may describe the weight of a diamond below one carat by its 'points' alone. For instance, the jeweler may refer to a diamond that weighs 0.25 carats as a 'twenty-five pointer.' Diamond weights greater than one carat are expressed in carats and decimals. A 1.08 carat stone would be described as 'one point oh eight carats.'
All else being equal, diamond price increases with diamond carat weight because larger diamonds are rarer and more desirable. However, two diamonds of equal carat weight can have very different values (and prices) depending on three other factors of the diamond 4C's: Color, Clarity and Cut.
While now you know what carat means, it's also important to remember that a diamond's value is determined by using all of the 4C's, and not just carat weight.
When we say something is gold, it usually depicts the absolute, the glorious, and the essential. Gold is gold, and from the naked eye, we see it as a symbol of success and luxury. But some golds are only half gold and pure gold doesn't really exist. This is where 10K, 14K, and 18K yellow gold come in!
Usually, you won't be able to find 24K gold rings. This is simply because pure gold is a soft metal that tends to bend and scratch very easily. This makes pure gold quite impractical for daily wear.
10K contains more alloy than gold. It has 41.7% gold and and 58.3% alloy. It looks slightly paler than 14K, but you won't be able to see the difference with your bare eyes. It will also tarnish more quickly than 14K or 18K, but with regular care, this shouldn't be an issue
14K contains 58.5% gold and is the perfect compromise as it's still quite durable and will not easily tarnish. It also has a beautiful yellow gold color that you'll have a hard time telling apart from an 18K.
18K gold consists of 75% gold and 25% metal alloys. 18K gold rings require more care than 14K yellow gold rings. It will be a challenge telling 14K and 18K apart. Needless to say, preferring 18K over 14K is mostly a matter of knowing that the 18K gold ring contains more gold and is, therefore, more exquisite.
24K is pure gold. Logically, it consists of 100% gold. You might find the inscription "750" somewhere on an 18K gold ring. This means 18K gold only consists of 75% gold. The remaining 25% are different metal alloys that give more hardness to the gold.
